New York, NY – (March 3, 2010), the National Museum of Hip-Hop (NMoH) present a night of Hip-Hop’s hottest stars, both old school and new, with many familiar faces from Hollywood at the “Hip-Hop Immortal” gala and launch event. There will be a special DJ appearance by Grand Master Flash, mixing it up on the ones and two’s, along with a few surprise celebrity DJs.
Cincinnati’s own Robert Vance Hatcher will be honored by being featured in the category of “Who’s Next Up”, identifying up and coming artist who will be the next Hip Hop/R&B trailblazers to watch. Robert Hatcher will be interviewed on his journey in hip hop as a young artist for the launch of the National Hip Hop Museum.
HIP-HOP IMMORTAL GALA AND LAUNCH EVENT
The National Museum of Hip exclusive event entitled "Hip-Hop Immortal," will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, 7pm, at the M2 Ultra Lounge, 530 West 28th St, NYC, hosted by Chuck D and KRS One..
NMoH “Hip-Hop Immortal” event programming includes: a Celebrity Silent Auction, Raffle, VIP Cocktail Reception, Live and Video Presentations, VIP Gift Bags, Graffiti Wall, Rap, Break dancing, DJ performances, special appearances and an After-Party at the Pink Elephant. The theme is a celebration of the four elements of Hip-Hop: Rap, B-Boy, DJ performances, and a 20 x 20 removable wall decorated by a Graffiti artist and signed by all attendees to be displayed at the grand opening of the Museum.
The event will welcome Senior Top Level Executives in Music, Entertainment, Fashion, Business and News, Celebrity Rappers, DJ’s, Popular B-Boys, Legendary Graffiti Artists, Hollywood Entertainers, and Community Leaders. ABOUT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HIP-HOP
The National Museum of Hip-Hop (NMoH) is a NYC based non-profit 501 (c) (3) founded in 2005 and created to commemorate the historical and cultural achievements of hip-hop and artists, throughout the World, while educating area residents and global visitors about every aspect of the culture’s elements. NMoH has announced the “Hall of Hip-Hop Awards,” a yearly ceremony which will induct legendary icons into the Hall of Hip-Hop. This will be a televised ceremony, unlike any other existing award show, created to both induct and honor the greatness of artists from all elements of hip-hop - Graffiti, DJing, B-Boying and Rap, as well as the producers, mixers, engineers, fashion designers, film makers and other outside components who help make up hip-hop culture, in its entirety.
